City & Cultural Tours in Kathmandu Valley & beyond

Our City & Cultural Tours open up the whole spectrum of Nepalese urban life style - beginning from Kathmandu Valley, the cultural heart of the country, to the urban centres throughout the hills like Gorkha and Palpa. Finally we cover Terai cities which are witness of the centuries-old cultural ties between Nepal and India.
Nepalese cities are amazingly colourful and they bustle with life as people are engaged in various outdoor activities like prayer, trade or gossiping from early morning to late evening.
Enjoy urban Nepal and get in contact with people and their lifestyle.

Nature, Culture and Countryside Tours

Nepal's geography promotes the emergence of different ethnic groups - literally around each of the countless mountain massifs in Nepal lives a distinct people with distinct cultural practices, language, and different ways of adapting to the harsh geography of the mountains, hills or jungles.
Therefore, our tours not just lead you through beautiful country sides but we also show you the cultural richness of its inhabitants.

The Great Himalayan Treks

Nepal's greatest natural heritage are the Himalayas. Eight out of the ten highest peaks on our planet are located in Nepal, among them the highest, Sagarmatha, also referred to as Mt. Everest. Most of the people visiting Nepal come to see the Himalayas and to do trekking. Indeed there are few activities which satisfy so much like trekking in a beautiful mountains side.
Instead of offering the standard tours, you can expect us to design a tour for you which suits your preferences, pace and needs.

Home Stay and Village Tours

Home stay and village tours are for those visitors, who'd like to stay with the family for 5 to 6 days in the village to experience the local lifestyle, make hikes and walks and/or do research. Though many villages in Nepal are inhabited by one (an) ethnic group, there are other ethnic people (minority in population) living in harmony in the same villages. Thus visitors would get a chance to experience different lifestyles and cultures of different people living together. You will walk around and make day hikes to nearby villages with local guides provided by the community.

Family Holidays

Nepal offers many attractions for families with small children. To make a stay equally exciting for you and your kids we designed tours especially for families with small children. These focus either on natural attractions or on family stay, or both.
Let your children make friends with the children of your host - and they never forget this experience!

Art & Living in Kathmandu Valley - People and their crafts

Kathmandu Valley has got a rich cultural tradition which manifests itself in religious and profane art and architecture, in refined crafts and elaborated sciences.
Our programs are designed to bring you in contact with these centuries-old traditions and with the people who still understand and perform them. You can expect a rich intercultural and interpersonal encounter.

Spiritual Retreats

Nepal is a land of spirituality. Lord Buddha was born in Nepal and the Buddhist community is vibrant until today. Likewise, Hinduism spread from its place of origin, India, to Nepal, which was the only Hindu Kingdom of the world until 2006. There are many other religions in Nepal, like Bon or Kirant, followed by ethnic groups like Sherpa or Rai.
However, our programs focus very much on different practices of Buddhist meditation like Vipassana - an ancient Theravada technique - or Mahayana Meditation, which is widely practiced throughout the Himalaya.
Ayurveda and Yoga are well acknowledged practices to keep body and mind strong and healthy.
Whatever you are looking for - an introduction into meditation, relief from a specific health problem, or even a long term retreat - contact us and we develop your individual program.

Festival Delights

There is a saying that in Nepal throughout the year not a single day passes without a festival. Indeed, the many ethnic groups follow their very distinct festivals, too, and this offers visitors an amazingly broad spectrum of festivals to attend.
Since we usually arrange our tours around home stays or development projects, you can be sure to get an authentic insight into what is going on.

Jungle Safari and White Water Adventure

Nepal offers endless opportunities for adventure. Apart from Jungle Safari you can go for white water rafting and kayaking - Whatever your special interest is, we will design a tour which suits your expectations.
Even adventure is easily linked to the life of our countrymen and -women: their life style sometimes seems enough adventure for visitors. Imagine that women have to climb steep mountains to collect fodder for their animals. Or that children are balancing over hazardous bridges just to go to school!

Weekend Recreation in Kathmandu Valley

This segment is particularly designed for expatriates living in Nepal.
We designed weekend recreation tours which are meant to show you places of interest in the valley, to let you participate in local festivals or customs (like rice planting or the preparation of auspicious sesame cookies) and thereby to offer you a perfect way of relaxing from office, meetings and social life in Kathmandu.
