Our Concept
Our name is our concept - We founded "Himalayan Vibes P. Ltd." with the aim to let our guests experience true Himalayan Vibes. For us that means to take you to journeys through our home-country and share with you the best Nepal has to offer: the snow-covered peaks of the highest mountains on our planet, the living traditions of Buddhism and Hinduism, the cultural richness of the Kathmandu Valley and other cities beyond, the unexplored beautiful towns, trails and treks of the hill sides, the wilderness of the jungles in the Terai, the majestic beauty of the Himalayas- and first and foremost the great hospitality of the various Himalayan peoples.
In the era of globalized trade and tourism, we still believe in the small things: the personal encounter between people of different backgrounds and cultures, the beauty of untouched nature, the joy while celebrating centuries old festivals.
That is why we emphasize very much on personal exchange between you, our valued customers, and our countrymen and -women. We carefully design and plan our tours together with locals and together with you, taking into close consideration your expectations, your timetable, your preferences in order to enable rich inter-personal and inter-cultural exchange.
These ideas are best reflected in the concept of Sustainable Tourism. Sustainable Tourism is ecologically friendly, culturally sensitive and socially and economically responsible. We follow this approach because we plan and develop our tours in close cooperation with local communities. We believe that they should benefit from what we are doing: a certain percentage (10%) of our profit goes directly to communities' develoment projects. They invest the money in development activities like educational programs, awareness programs, school building, health services or small solar energy projects.
At the same time, we built the capacity of our local partners by providing trainings in areas like environmental conservation, book keeping, hospitality management and various other management issues.
The aim of all our tour programs is therefore the participation of local community and the empowerment of local people, and among them especially of women.
